back from the dead

I had a firewall. I had antivirus software. I had all of the updates. Still, my computer was eaten by 46 viruses. I have been cut off from humanity for the past seven days. I could have gone out and spoken with people, but I was too depressed about not being able to check my email. Plus it's been raining here. And raining. And raining. I think Ben is even depressed. Anyway, in the past few dark days, I took tons of pictures of Ben. Here are some of them, for your admiration.

Well, Ben, you’ve been through a lot this past month. You started daycare (only once per week), you were weaned from the breast, you learned to sleep through the night (thanks to the AMAZING book Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child, and you rolled over four times one day and never did it again. The biggest change is that you have learned to sleep like a normal baby, and, like a normal baby, you smile and are much happier now that you are better rested. We missed your four-month birthday this past weekend because we were in Santa Barbara wine tasting and meeting ostriches. We had a great time, and you were a baby genius at Grandma and Grandpa’s house. You took regular naps, slept well at night and played with your friends. We are so proud of you, big boy!
